Discover a wealth of wildlife in diverse Delta habitats. Explore the wildlife-rich Gomoti Plains, and witness the drama of the wild unfold – from stalking lions to hippos battling for territory. Marvel at the smaller creatures too – from dung beetles to an astonishing variety of bird species. On game drives or walks, witness the abundance of local herbivores: elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and a range of antelope, including the rarer red lechwe and tsessebe. Glide along the channels in a mokoro, spying painted reed frogs, water lilies, and perhaps a surprise ‘champagne stop’ hidden in the reeds. When the water is high enough, boat further afield. Rejoice in fireside boma nights alive with traditional song and dance, and much laughter.

THE PLACE

Qorokwe’s home is the exclusive Qorokwe Protected Area, encompassing over 26 000 hectares (64 000 acres) bordering the renowned Moremi Game Reserve in a high-density game area of the south-eastern Okavango Delta.

THE CAMP

Qorokwe offers contemporary comforts in a spectacular setting, a landscape ranging from floodplains to acacia woodlands and palm-dotted islands. Accommodation includes eight elegant tented suites, all with indoor and outdoor showers, plus one extra-spacious family unit with its own splash pool. The magnificent main area overlooks a lagoon scattered with water lilies – a magnet for wildlife. The dining area, lounge, library, and bar are built on raised wooden platforms, connected by walkways. All interiors flow airily outside, reflecting the hues of bush and water.
